How a deal with Ordinary works.

Four steps. You set the pace, and you can stop at any point. Nothing is shared and nothing is signed until you are ready.

1

We talk

An hour, whenever suits you. You tell us about the firm and what you are hoping for. We tell you how we work. Nothing to prepare and nothing to share.

2

We get to know the firm

If it feels right to both of us, we sign a confidentiality agreement and spend some time with you: a visit to the office, a look at the books, and any questions you have for us.

3

We put an offer in writing

A short letter in plain language: what we would pay, how, what your role would be if you want one, and what it means for your team. Take whatever time you need with it.

4

We move at your pace

Closing and the handover happen on a timeline you are comfortable with. Your clients and your team hear about it from you, when you decide, and we are there alongside you.

Questions owners ask.

Do I have to leave?

No. Some owners stay for years, some step back over time, and some want a clean break. We build around what you want, and you can change your mind as we go.

What happens to my staff?

They keep their jobs, their pay, and the people they report to, and they get a share of ownership in the company. We invest in training and tools, not in cuts.

Will you change the name?

Not unless you want us to. Your clients hired your firm, and the name stays on the door.

How do you value a firm?

We look at recurring revenue, how long clients have stayed, and what it costs to run the firm well, and we walk you through our math so nothing is a mystery.

How long does it take?

The first conversation is an hour. An offer usually follows a visit and a look at the books. Everything after that moves at the pace you set.

Is this confidential?

Yes. We sign a confidentiality agreement before we see anything, and your clients and staff hear about it from you, when you decide.

Start the conversation.

There is no obligation and nothing to prepare. If we are not the right partner for your firm, we will say so.
